At CMS, we strive to advance the efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness of our products and services while always maintaining a balance of technology and utility.

In other words, we don’t “over-engineer.” We believe that technology should support design, not the other way around. If the overall safety and performance of our equipment is not improved, then adding new technology serves no purpose. By taking a balanced approach, we have developed finely-tuned equipment that advances our standards of performance, efficiency and safety, all while maintaining ease-of-use and affordability for our customers.

Some Bells No Whistles
Some bells. No Whistles.

The Millennium Series cremators are the work-horse of the CMS fleet. They embody the spirit of Balanced Engineering having everything you need and nothing you don’t. With fully-automatic analog controls, the Millennium can safely perform up to five cremations per 8-hour day while using less fuel than any other cremator in its class.

We challenge the reasoning of outdated hot-hearth designs to create a more efficient, more reliable cremator. The Millennium's primary and secondary chambers are in-line, not stacked. This increases the lifespan of the chamber floor, because the refractory surfaces are heated on one side, not two. Our design also allows for easy access of the secondary chamber for maintenance and repairs without the need to remove and replace the floor of the primary chamber. This saves significant cost over the life of the machine. In addition, a 100% sealed and sloped floor creates full control of fluids with combustion maximized and chances of leakage eliminated.

For added convenience, the cremated remains removal compartment is located in the front of the unit where cremated remains can easily be removed through the large, front access doors. Once swept clean, simply lift out the tray and load into the Processor to complete the cremation.

The Millennium is designed to cremate in two hours or less and cool down in just 30 minutes using less fuel and emitting cleaner air into the atmosphere. It is the most efficient, easily-maintained and economical cremator in its class that is guaranteed to meet or exceed every environmental emission requirement for crematories everywhere.

It thinks.

It Thinks
Qortex

The Qortex represents the next generation of CMS cremators with a body and brain designed to lead your business into the future.

The secret behind the Qortex is its advanced control system. Traditional cremators monitor the temperature in their chambers and control the burners to regulate it. The Qortex does that and so much more. The Qortex brain monitors the actual rate of combustion, not just the current temperature. If a chamber is getting too hot too quickly, it will make adjustments to slow things down, and the brain in the Qortex knows to do more than just turn the burners ON or OFF. Depending on the systems current demands, the burners in the Qortex can be adjusted from low to high and anywhere in between.

The Qortex isn’t only better at analyzing the chambers’ present state. It is smarter from the very start. Rather than just reacting to the current conditions, the Qortex can actually anticipate what will be necessary based

on each individual case. You tell the Qortex what goes in, and it automatically sets the appropriate initial settings! So, no matter the size or composition of the case, the Qortex will run the appropriate program to maximize the efficiency and reliability of the process.

All of this intelligence comes with the same features that make the Millennium so great: in-line design, 100% sealed and sloped floor to prevent leakage and control fluids, large front access doors, and a cremated remains removal compartment located conveniently at the front of the unit.

Equinox Logo

For those who need it all
Equinox Logo

The Equinox is the cremator for people that need it all. With its larger loading capacity, high-velocity burners, and the same advanced control system as the Qortex, the Equinox can handle any job with ease.

For all of the power inside, the Equinox offers incredibly easy, user-friendly operation via its on-board touchscreen.Simply select the sex, case size/type and the container composition, and the advanced control system does the rest. For the experts and control freaks, the Equinox offers full manual operation as well.

The Equinox is the perfect machine for high-volume crematories. Despite its larger size, the materials in the Equinox allow it to cool down rapidly, letting you safely load the next case much sooner than with other models. It is able to cool so quickly because
the advanced refractory tiles used in the combustion chamber are not subject to thermal shock and do not retain heat. These same tiles that are in all CMS cremators are designed to last 30% longer and cost 30% less over time than any other cremator available on the market today.

For those who need a cremator with an extra-large capacity that can handle high volume and do so with incredible ease, the Equinox provides an unmatched set of features to get the job done.

Processor Logo
A high quality finish
Processor

At CMS, innovation does not stop with cremators.

In the Processor, CMS incorporated a first-of-its-kind dust removal system that eliminates the need for a separate filtering system. Dust collection is controlled through a sophisticated microprocessor that pulls dust away while the cremated remains are sorted, loaded, and processed—virtually eliminating all hazards to the user.

As the remains are processed and reduced, they automatically get deposited into the urn.

No more hand loading. No more dust.

Lift Table

Lift Table

Because all CMS models can load directly from a church truck, a lift table is not necessary. However some facilities do have need for a lifting device.

The CMS Battery Operated Scissors Lift manufactured by Angelus, enables an operator to easily transfer cremation boxes, caskets or containers to and from vehicles, refrigeration units or storage areas. The scissor type lift with its lockable roller table also allows for quick and easy insertion of caskets or containers into a cremation chamber. The crematory lift is virtually maintenance free and requires minimum space. This unit is designed to provide years of trouble free operation.
